Brazilian striker Lima grabbed a brace as Braga cruised to a 3-0 win over Vitoria Setubal in the Liga Sagres on Friday.
Since losing to Porto in late November, Braga are unbeaten in 13 games, and it was hardly a surprise that they had few difficulties dispatching lowly Setubal, who sit last on the table.
Without a win in 10 matches heading into Friday’s game, Setubal battled hard in the first half at the Estadio AXA, but came undone in the second minute of injury time when Lima made the breakthrough for Braga.
It took 17 minutes after the restart for Braga to add a second through Alan, before Lima wrapped up the win with his second goal six minutes from time.
The win draws Braga level with second-placed Porto on points, but still leaves them five points behind leaders Benfica having played an extra game.
